Sealife Shipping runs this website to describe our services, publish news, and let clients and crew applicants reach us. This page explains what we collect when you use the site, why we keep it, and how to reach us about it.

What we collect

If you send a quote request or a job application, we receive whatever you type — typically name, company, email, phone, and the cargo or role you are enquiring about. A seafarer application also covers what our crew application form asks for: identity or passport details, certificates and their dates, sea service, physical particulars for issuing your gear, and declarations about your health and conduct. Bank details are asked for only after you have been selected, when we invite you to complete your crew file, where you may also choose to attach a passport-style photo for your crew application form. We do not use photographs for facial recognition or any other biometric matching. We do not buy contact lists and we do not track you across the web.

Cookies & analytics

A small session cookie is set only when you sign in to the admin or client portal. Public pages may load Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures aggregate page-view counts without setting cookies or collecting personal data. No third-party advertising or behavioural trackers are present.

How long we keep it

Quote and contact inquiries are kept for up to three years so we can answer follow-ups. For seafarer applications we keep the hiring record — name, rank, service history and certificates — but the sensitive parts (identity number, health and conduct declarations, physical particulars, your next-of-kin's contact details, any bank details, and your photo) are removed automatically 24 months after your application if we have not engaged you. You can ask us to delete anything sooner. Admin audit events are retained indefinitely as part of our security records.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to delete or correct it. We respond within thirty days. Where we rely on consent (for example, for marketing follow-up), you can withdraw it at any time.
